Miguel Andujar Scores Two Runs In Quiet Night
6 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar was the club’s most productive hitter on a night when their game was led by starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. The rookie recorded two of his club’s eight hits, scoring two runs along the way. One of those hits was a double, as he became the youngest Yankee to record 30 doubles in a season since Robinson Cano in 2006. Andujar continues to quietly be one of the most dependable hitters in the lineup, now hitting .292 on the season including a .309 average across his last 15 games. The 23-year-old also leads all MLB rookies with 44 extra base hits.
