6 years agoAfter missing three weeks with a right hip strain, New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres will return to the club on Wednesday for his club’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The rookie All-Star was one of the Yankees’ best players in the first half of the season, hitting .294 with 15 home runs and 42 RBI since his promotion in late April. With his return, expect second base to be permanently his again, much like it was prior to his injury. The 21-year-old has been with the Single-A Tampa Tarpons recently, so he’s already in the area where the Yankees are playing.--RDelgado
