7 years agoAssuming the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles can come to an agreement for closer Zach Britton, prospect Dillon Tate is confirmed to be headlining the trade package. Tate is currently ranked as the ninth best prospect in the Yankees organization by MLB Pipeline. Tate has pitched to a 16-7 record with a 3.53 ERA and a 216/85 K/BB ratio over four seasons in the minor leagues. He gives the Orioles a young pitcher with potential to help build the future. It's expected that the two clubs agree to a Britton trade by Wednesday, at which point Tate will become a member of the Orioles.--Dan Fappiano
