6 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Sean Newcomb was surely glad to see his team break out their bats on Monday night against the hapless Miami Marlins. Being staked to an early lead surely eased his mind and gave him the confidence to pitch around his four walks and he got out of trouble a couple of times. Ultimately, the only run he gave up was a solo homer to Justin Bour. Ultimately, he went six innings and struck out five. His next start isn't as easy, facing the Dodgers in Atlanta.
