Jeimer Candelario Hits Solo Bomb in Loss to Red Sox
6 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario hit a solo home run as part of a 1-for-4 day at the plate, his 14th of the year. The bomb came in the seventh inning off of reliever Brandon Workman, and it served as the lone run of the game for the Tigers as they struggled mightily against Chris Sale and the Red Sox bullpen. Candelario sits at a .230/.326/.428 slash line with 37 RBI and 46 runs scored in addition to his 14 homers. He is not on the fantasy radar in standard leagues, but he's in the mix for 12+ team and AL-only leagues thanks to his decent power upside.
