7 years agoTexas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre will get the day off in the series finale against the Cleveland Indians Sunday. In attempt to keep Beltre healthy the Rangers remain committed to giving him regular rest, be that in the form of days off or serving time at designated hitter. In 2018, Beltre has a .288 batting average and has struggled for power with just five home runs in his 270 plate appearances. Beltre's poor season is making it close to impossible for the Rangers to be able to trade him. Beltre's average, despite being below what we have come to expect from him, still makes him a valuable piece for fantasy teams, even while he struggles to hit for power.--Ben Rolfe
