Lourdes Gurriel Reinstated From DL Sunday
Lourdes Gurriel was reinstated from the seven-day disabled list on Sunday after recovering from a concussion and will bat ninth against the Orioles. Infielder Richard Urena has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move. Gurriel has posted a decent batting average this season (.270) and faces a favorable matchup in Andrew Cashner, who is making his first start since returning from the DL, so he is worth a look as a cheap daily play.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Resting On Saturday
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is out of the starting lineup ahead of Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Gurriel came up with a clutch hit on Friday when he blasted a game-tying grand slam and totaled five RBI in the loss. The right-handed slugger has played in 12 straight games, so he'll get a routine rest day on Saturday. As a result, Tim Tawa will get the start in left field and bat eighth versus right-hander Dustin May. Fantasy managers should expect Gurriel to be back in the lineup following Saturday's game.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Launches Grand Slam, Racks Up Five RBI On Friday
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 1-for-5 with a grand slam and an RBI groundout in Friday's 14-11 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Gurriel hit an RBI groundout in the bottom of the fourth inning to cut the Dodgers' lead to 8-4. In his next at-bat, the 31-year-old belted a grand slam off Dodgers pitcher Anthony Banda in the bottom of the fifth inning to tie the game 8-8. His home run traveled 401 feet with an exit velocity of 105.9 mph. He has now collected a hit in six of his last nine games and is hitting .306 (11-for-36) with three home runs and 10 RBI in May. Overall, Gurriel is slashing .213/.238/.418 with seven home runs, 25 RBI, 14 runs, and a stolen base across 151 plate appearances. Fantasy managers should continue to roll with Gurriel while he's swinging a hot bat as he looks to build on Friday's performance in this weekend's series against Los Angeles.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Homers In Another Multi-Hit Effort
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI, and a run scored in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Phillies. It was the 6-foot-3 slugger's third multi-hit game in his last four, going 8-for-16 (.500) over that stretch with three doubles, a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored. Hitting just .214 on the season, his xBA of .260 suggests the results should have been better (.196 BABIP), and perhaps this four-game stretch is the beginning of a turnaround that gets him back to a more respectable batting average. The Cuban's 83.5 percent contact rate and 11.2 percent strikeout rate are the best of his career, so look for him to add to his .214-5-18-11-1 line.
