Jordan Spieth Will Try to Defend Title at Carnoustie
6 years agoJordan Spieth isn't entering Carnoustie looking like the player who captured the title last season. In Spieth's previous six tournaments, he has failed to post a top-20 finish and has missed two of his last three cuts. However, like any world-class golfer, Spieth is always just inches away from flipping the switch and magically refinding his game. With that being said, the young American makes for a tough player to trust this weekend at the Open Championship. Spieth is unusable in cash-game lineups, but he does have some slight value as a contrarian GPP option in large field tournaments. You need to be aware, though, that Spieth still provides an enormous risk that may not be worth all the stress.
