Tyler Anderson Keeps Rolling
6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Tyler Anderson threw another strong six innings against Seattle on Sunday, allowing just two earned runs and striking out six. Anderson goes into the break with an overall 3.72 ERA, but he's put up a 2.19 ERA over his last eight starts. Anderson has benefitted from a bit of luck during that time as he's stranded 87% of runners that have reached base, but his 3.09 FIP helps support that he really is pitching very well. Obviously, he's still a Colorado pitcher and thus caution is advised, but for teams that need to start making moves in hopes of reaching the playoffs, Anderson's a perfect candidate to take a flier on.
