Tyler Wade Picks Up Three Hits In Start
6 years agoWhile in the minors with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last month, New York Yankees infielder Tyler Wade took a page out of teammate Brandon Drury’s book and spoke of his frustrations of being stuck in the minors. On Wednesday, the 23-year-old recorded three hits in a start at second base and even launched his first career home run. Brought up in the aftermath of Gleyber Torres’ injury, Wade, had his first significant damage in this game, driving in a run and scoring one himself. With Neil Walker still looking at the majority of starts at second while Torres recovers, Wade gave the Yankees something to ponder and he should see more playing time after this.
