6 years agoReports are coming in from all over that Kansas City Royals utility man Whit Merrifield is on the block but is unlikely to be moved before the trade deadline. With three more years of control, reporters from Jayson Stark to Jeffrey Flanagan are all saying that the feeling across baseball is that he's unlikely to be shipped out due to the high price KC is looking to charge. Merrifield is having another great season in 2018, but fantasy owners should expect that he'll still be spending the majority of his time in Kansas City once August rolls around.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
