Aaron Altherr Strikes Out Three Times In New York Loss
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Aaron Altherr is in the midst of a terrible stretch at the plate and Monday’s doubleheader in New York did nothing to help him escape. The 27-year-old made a cameo in the opening game, coming on and being retired in a pinch-hitting situation. He started the second game, however, which the Phillies would go on to win. In three plate appearances, he struck out three times, bringing his season average to .173. Things have been even worse as of late, as he’s posted a .100 average across his last 15 games. It’s becoming very clear that last season’s impressive numbers for Altherr will not be matched this season.
