Yuli Gurriel Hopes To Continue Hot Streak Against A's
6 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel will look to stay hot when the team opens up a series with the A's on Monday night. Over his last 25 at-bats, Gurriel is slashing .360/.452/.720 with two home runs, three doubles and nine runs batted in over his last seven games played. After a tough first month of the season, Gurriel is now hitting .323 over his last 232 at-bats with five home runs, 16 doubles and 39 runs batted in. Despite sub-par power numbers, Gurriel is a doubles machine and hitting right in the thick of an elite offensive lineup. He will face expected A's starter Frankie Montas Monday night and Gurriel is 1-for-3 this season against him with one double. Gurriel is worth an add in deeper leagues, specifically in the AL-only format.
