Brandon Drury Starts At Second In Victory
6 years agoWhile Gleyber Torres recuperates on the disabled list, the New York Yankees find themselves with a hole at second. Initially, Neil Walker appeared to be the favorite to take over the second base, Tyler Wade’s promotion and Brandon Drury’s return have added intrigue to the situation. On Saturday, Drury started at second and batted seventh. In five plate appearances, he managed just one hit, but it was an RBI double in the first inning that increased his club’s early lead. Drury has long awaited his chance to once again break the Yankees starting lineup after losing the starting third base job to Miguel Andujar. This could be his temporary chance to get back in.
