6 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Mike Zunino has only three hits in his past 36 at-bats (.083) with 15 strikeouts over his last 11 games played. The slump has brought Zunino's average down to .188, the lowest it has been since May 9. Zunino does flash some pop (12 home runs) at times but has an eye-popping 84 K's in 197 at-bats this season. The former highly-touted prospect continues to struggle making consistent contact at the big league level despite stretches of power. He still is capable of hitting 20-plus home runs this season, but there are plenty of drawbacks to entrusting the catching position to Zunino on anyone's fantasy team long term.--Joey C - RotoBaller
