6 years agoSan Francisco Giants third baseman Evan Longoria had surgery last week to repair a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand. He has just begun physical therapy and projects to be out until the end of July at the earliest. Longoria was having a bit of a down year compared to his lofty standards, but he was still a serviceable fantasy asset. He has a .246 average along with 10 home runs and 34 RBI through 67 games. It is premature to stash Longoria at this point, but continue to monitor his rehab process and grab him when he is closer to returning.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
