6 years agoWhile rumors began circulating last week that the Philadelphia Phillies were possibly interested in acquiring veteran third baseman Adrian Beltre from the Texas Rangers, nothing was said about the club’s current third baseman. That would be Maikel Franco, who is now subject of trade speculation himself. There are reports linking the 25-year-old with a possible move to the San Diego Padres, a club without clear options at third base. Franco, meanwhile, had four hits on Sunday before drilling a home run against the New York Yankees on Monday night.--RDelgado
