Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's series finale against the Pirates. Peralta's first-inning homer was the only offense Arizona would need behind excellent performances from Clay Buchholz and the bullpen. Peralta is now just two home runs away from matching his career high of 17, thanks to a June power binge in which he had a .707 SLG. Peralta will continue to hit in the heart of the lineup and will have plenty of RBI opportunities moving forward, especially after the return of A.J. Pollock.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer

Chicago Cubs non-roster invitee and outfielder David Peralta is expected to make his spring debut with his new club on Tuesday. The 36-year-old had flexor tendon surgery in the offseason and signed a minor league deal with the club. He played his first several seasons in the majors with the Diamondbacks and the last year and a half with the Dodgers. He had a somewhat productive campaign in 2023 as a part-time player, but he's a long way from his best and most fantasy-relevant season of 2018 where he had a .368 WOBA and 130 wRC+.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller

Free-agent outfielder David Peralta (elbow) and the Chicago Cubs agreed to an undisclosed deal on Monday, according to sources familiar with the deal. Peralta joins the Cubs after hitting .259/.294/.381 with seven home runs, 25 doubles, a triple, 55 RBI, four stolen bases and 47 runs scored in 422 plate appearances over 133 games in 2023 for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 36-year-old left-handed hitter had a disastrous second half of the season, though, and then had flexor-tendon surgery on his left elbow in late October. It remains to be seen if Peralta will be ready by Opening Day, but if he is, the veteran outfielder will mostly likely serve as a reserve outfielder for the Cubbies in 2024. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues shouldn't have him on their radars.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta had a flexor tendon repair on his left, throwing arm on Wednesday. The injury occurred around the All-Star break. A free agent after the season, Peralta should be hitting and throwing by March. The 36-year-old isn't much of a fantasy option outside of the deepest or league-only formats at this point in his career.--Justin Raffone - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder David Peralta (elbow) recently underwent surgery on his left elbow, per a story post on his Instagram account. It was a surprise operation, as Dodgers brass told reporters at their end-of-season press conference last week that there were no surgeries on the scheduled for Dodgers players. The 36-year-old veteran played in 133 games for LA in 2023, slashing .259/.294/.381 with seven home runs and 55 RBI while mostly playing left field for the Blue after signing a one-year, $6.5 million deal back in February. Scheduled to hit free agency at the conclusion of the World Series, it's unlikely that the Dodgers will be looking to re-sign the veteran left-handed hitter this winter.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
