Caleb Smith Left Sunday's Start With Left Shoulder Tightness
7 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Caleb Smith (shoulder) left Sunday's start against Colorado due to left shoulder tightness. When Smith first exited it was believed to be a groin injury, but unfortunately the injury was to his throwing shoulder. The severity is still unknown but an injury to a pitching shoulder is never good. In 15 starts in 2018, Smith holds a 4.03 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and a K:BB of 87:32 in 76 innings pitched. There should be more updates on Smith soon, but don't be surprised if he misses a start or two.
