Sonny Gray Finding The Wrong Consistency
6 years agoAll along during this 2018 season, the New York Yankees have sought consistency from starter Sonny Gray, who they acquired last season in a trade with the Oakland Athletics. He seems to be settling into a consistent form, but it’s a negative one. The 28-year-old was tagged with his fifth loss of the season Saturday afternoon as the Yankees were shut out, 4-0. Gray surrendered all four of the runs, making this the third consecutive start in which he concedes four. While he did strike out seven, this is a far cry from the Gray that went eight shutout innings against the Toronto Blue Jays four starts ago.
