Alcides Escobar Performs In Center Field
7 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop/outfielder Alcides Escobar played his first game at center field in years on Friday night, and it apparently made him a better hitter. After Escobar smacked a pair of singles and walked twice (for the first time in over two months), manager Ned Yost told reporters after the game, "He hits good as a center fielder." While the sentiment is nice, barring Esky adopting some kind of new approach just because of his position change, he likely still won't be ownable in the vast majority of leagues.
