Aaron Sanchez Leaves With Injury After First Inning
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (finger) had been pitching well as of late, going three consecutive games allowing three runs or less – each of them being quality starts. Unfortunately, Sanchez was derailed a bit on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels when he was forced to leave after only one inning (25 pitches) with a right index finger contusion. He didn’t have a very good inning, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a walk, but perhaps the injury had something to do with it. X-rays were negative on the finger, but we’re unsure at the moment if Sanchez will undergo further examination. Stay tuned for updates.
