Giancarlo Stanton And Yankees Walk Off Against Seattle
6 years agoAfter all his struggles early on with the New York Yankees, slugger Giancarlo Stanton has slowly seen improvements at the plate during the month of June. Heading into Wednesday night’s game against the Seattle Mariners, he was hitting .269 across his last seven games, having hit three home runs during the stretch. In this game, he would record two hits, but his final act would be his biggest since he arrived in the Bronx. The 28-year-old drilled a two-run, walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth, putting the finishing touches on a comeback from a five-run deficit. Stanton now has 18 home runs, tied for most on the club, while doing it rather unimpressively. Those who feature Stanton on their squads are poised to reap the rewards soon.
