Trevor Bauer Has Another Strong Start on Monday
Trevor Bauer had another excellent start on Monday, tossing seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out eight. This is finally the Trevor Bauer that fantasy owners have been trying to draft for a few years now. Monday's win was his sixth and he lowered his ERA to 2.50. He's a must-start every time he's on the mound in any format.

Trevor Bauer Hoping To Return To MLB
Trevor Bauer and his agents, Jon Fetterolf and Rachel Luba, are meeting with major-league teams in hopes of finding their client a job back in the United States for next season. Bauer went 10-4 with a 2.76 ERA for the Yokohama BayStars of Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball on a one-year deal in 2023, including going 9-2 with a 1.97 ERA in his last 15 starts. His fastball bumped up one mph on average as well, hitting 99.3 mph maximum in Japan. The 32-year-old was released by the Los Angeles Dodgers in early January after his domestic-violence suspension. He hasn't pitched since June of 2021 in the big leagues. His initial 324-game ban was reduced to 194 games based on the amount of time he had already spent on administrative leave while the investigations played out. It remains to be seen if any MLB will take a cheap flier on Bauer as he looks to rehabilitate his image.

Trevor Bauer Heading To Japan
Trevor Bauer will sign with the Yokohama DeNa BayStars in Japan's professional league. His deal is worth $4 million plus incentives, pending a physical. Bauer will attempt to rehabilitate his image overseas after the Los Angeles Dodgers released him in January after a lengthy domestic-violence suspension. It remains to be seen if the 32-year-old will return to the United States to pitch for an MLB team, but apparently no clubs had interest in him for the 2023 season. Bauer won the National League Cy Young in the shortened 2020 season with the Cincinnati Reds, but he's made only 17 starts since (107 2/3 innings) because of his lengthy suspension for domestic violence.

Dodgers Officially Release Trevor Bauer
Trevor Bauer his unconditional release on Thursday. The Dodgers designated Bauer for assignment last Friday and could not find a trade partner by the deadline this Friday, so the 31-year-old right-hander will become a free agent. Bauer has been reinstated by the league following his lengthy suspension for domestic violence, but it remains to be seen if any other MLB teams will take a chance on the former National League Cy Young winner. The Dodgers are on the hook for $22.5 million. He missed all of last season, so even if a team takes a chance on Bauer for 2023, it will be tough to predict how he'll perform after previously being one of the better pitchers in the game.

Mets, Yankees Won't Pursue Trevor Bauer
Trevor Bauer, according to sources, either via trade by the Friday deadline or as a free agent. Bauer, who is still currently on the Los Angeles Dodgers roster, was reinstated his 194-game suspension. However, it's unclear if any major-league team will take a chance on him. The Dodgers would like to trade him out of the National League West, if possible. One baseball decision-maker said Bauer would have to be signed by a "team on another planet." Pitching is at a premium this year, and Bauer won the NL Cy Young as recently as 2020. The Dodgers have until Friday to trade him, and if they can't, he'll be on the open market as a free agent.
