Brett Gardner Not in Monday's Starting Lineup
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner will not be in the starting lineup for the Yankees second game tonight, although he is hopeful that he could pinch hit if need be. Gardner is dealing with a sore right knee. Gardner has been productive at the top of the Yankees order so far this season. He has a .258 average, 42 runs scored, five home runs, 21 RBI, and seven stolen bases on the year. The injury is minor which means Gardner should be back in the starting lineup very soon. He is an adequate fantasy asset who piles up runs and chips in the occasional stolen base. Keep him in your lineup tonight if you have space in case he receives any pinch-hit opportunities.
