We haven’t had a full 15-game Monday slate since Memorial Day and that won’t be any different this week. There are 10 full games (and one resumed game) taking place on Monday. Four of those matchups have an over/under of at least nine total runs. The game in Colorado (NYM/COL) is actually tied with another game as the highest total in a game. The TEX/KC matchup also has 9.5 total runs between them.
As for pitchers, we have two very strong favorites, according to Vegas. The Astros (-300) and the Indians (-290) are heavily projected to win their matchup. We will see one of those pitchers during our write-up.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Trevor Bauer, CLE (vs. CWS) - $12,400
The second-most expensive starting pitcher on DraftKings is actually my top SP for the slate. Bauer has produced at least 11 strikeouts in four consecutive games. He just faced the White Sox in his last start, too: 7.2 IP, 3 ER, and 12 K. Chicago is fifth in team strikeouts (654) and 26th in runs scored (264 runs in 69 games) this season.
Andrew Suarez, SF (vs. MIA) - $6,800
The Marlins are projected to score the lowest total on the slate (3.1 runs) and yet Suarez is one of the cheapest pitchers on the board. Like Bauer, Suarez also just faced this same opponent in his last outing: 5 IP, 2 ER, and 3 K. Suarez has allowed three earned runs, or less, in three of the last four games and has notched at least five strikeouts during that same span. Miami is 28th in team wOBA (.295) against left-handed pitchers, 29th in runs scored (249 in 71 games) this season, and tied for 11th in team strikeouts (616) this season.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
C - Yan Gomes, CLE (vs. CWS) - $3,300
We’ve established the fact that Cleveland leads the way with an implied run total of 5.4 for Monday. Now, let’s go over some bats to use from their lineup. Gomes is 7-for-20 (.350) with three doubles and one home run (eight RBI) in the past week. The price tag is low enough to where he’s in punt consideration and his production is enough to where he could be the best catcher in the slate. Bargain of the day goes to Mr. Gomes.
1B - Wilmer Flores, NYM (@ COL) - $3,600
Tyler Anderson, the Rockies starting pitcher, has a 5.14 ERA at home. Also, the Mets are second on the slate with an implied run total of five. So, I’m going to implement some Mets into my DK lineup on Monday. Flores has a .203 ISO against left-handed pitchers.
2B - Ketel Marte, ARI (@ LAA) - $3,800
Marte is mashing in the month of June. He currently carries a .353 AVG with five doubles, three triples, and three home runs (14 RBI). In the past week, he’s 7-for-22 (.318) with one triple and two walks. It’s not a flashy option, but the price tag isn’t too rich for our blood and targeting hot bats is a great way to fill in spots in your lineup.
3B - Luis Valbuena, LAA (vs. ARI) - $3,000
In order to afford top tier starting pitchers, you need to cut costs in other areas. This is where I chose to bargain hunt. Valbuena doesn’t come with a hot bat or terrific ISO numbers, but he does peak our interest in the batter vs. pitcher department. He’s 11-for-26 (.423) with three doubles and one home run against Zack Greinke.
SS - Francisco Lindor, CLE (vs. CWS) - $5,100
I’m piecing together a mini Cleveland stack and Lindor is the anchor. He tied for the team lead with eight hits and two home runs last week. He also has a .244 ISO against right-handed pitchers since 2017. Lindor has been a better hitter at home. This season, he batting .317 at Progressive Field and only .263 on the road.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Joc Pederson, LAD (@ CHC) - $4,400
He hasn’t tallied a hit since June 12th, but Pederson might be my favorite pick from this post. He’s batting .394 (13-for-33) with five doubles and seven home runs this month and he has favorable numbers against Tyler Chatwood: 5-for-11 (.455) with two doubles and one home run (four walks). Left-handed hitters are also batting .280 against Chatwood this seasn (.176 for righties).
Michael Conforto, NYM (@ COL) - $4,200
I have a mini stack of Cleveland and another small piece of the puzzle will involve the Mets (Flores is previously mentioned). Conforto is second on the team with a .217 ISO against southpaws. He also recorded two home runs during their recent trip to Arizona. Colorado should provide an even better hitting environment and Conforto normally bats toward the top of the order, too.
Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE (vs. CWS) - $3,200
Finally, Lonnie Baseball. For those who’ve read my DK suggestion articles recently, this isn’t a surprise. I feel like DK continues to misprice Chisenhall and I’ll take advantage of the discount while it’s available. He’s 8-for-16 (.500) with two doubles and one triple in the past week. He also completels our mini Cleveland stack.
