Trent Williams Says He'll Be Ready For Training Camp
7 years agoWashington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams (knee) said he is "very close" to being himself again after five months of rehab and recovery following offseason knee surgery. “I got the go-ahead to kind of do whatever I can without obviously being too aggressive on it,” Williams said in his first interview since the end of the 2017 season. “I’m extremely blessed. I’ll be ready before camp.” Williams will turn 30 in July and has been one of the better all-around tackles in the league in recent seasons, although injuries have plagued him. If he can stay healthy all year, he'll be a huge help to new quarterback Alex Smith and Washington's ground game.
