7 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) has resumed light baseball activities. Simmons has not started to run yet but he has started throwing and swinging. Simmons said he expects to be activated from the disabled list the first day he is eligible, which is Saturday, and this is a good first step towards that. Assuming Simmons resumes running within the next few days, it seems as if Simmons may be back this week. He's continued his offensive improvement this season with a .330/.390/.460 slash line to go along with four home runs, 32 runs, 34 RBI, five stolen bases and a fantastic strikeout-to-walk ratio of 10:24.--Feldman Zach
