6 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell (finger) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Russell has been out since June 3 with a sprained left middle finger and will bat eighth in his return. With only two home runs and 14 RBI, Russell's slugging stats have taken a step back this season. However, the career .243 hitter is on pace to set a high in the average department, slashing .272/.347/.378. He also has 26 runs scored and two stolen bases. For fantasy purposes, Russell should be viewed as a lower-tier shortstop option that could contribute modestly towards all categories.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
