6 years agoTexas Rangers utility player Joey Gallo will line up in center field for just the second time in his career Thursday. Delino DeShields will receive a day off as he continues to try and break out of his slump. Gallo has had mixed fortunes once again in 2018. In 250 plate appearances, he has 17 home runs but is hitting just .207. If Gallo can handle center field without any major issues, it ensures he will remain a lineup regular while the Rangers work out how to fit Adrian Beltre in as the designated hitter regularly. Gallo remains a boom-or-bust fantasy hitter who has a chance to reach the 50-home run mark this season.--Ben Rolfe
