Bryan Shaw Claims He's Improving
7 years agoColorado Rockies relief pitcher Bryan Shaw leads the major leagues in appearances so far this season with 33. He's also carrying a 7.36 ERA, the second worst ERA held by a regular reliever on a team with a winning record. The worst belongs to teammate Chris Rusin. Shaw was supposed to be a lights-out reliever who would help lock down the back end of the Rockies bullpen along with Adam Ottavino, Jake McGee and closer Wade Davis. Shaw told Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post that he's improved and is close to righting the ship. He seems confident in his assessment, and the team's fortunes may ride on him being correct.
