DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers
Miles Mikolas - P, vs MIA ($10,900)
Mikolas has an outstanding 2.49 ERA through 11 starts this year with just a 2.8% walk-rate. While he doesn't strike many batters out, his low ERA and walk-rate give him a very high floor. Mikolas gets to face one of the worst lineups in baseball in the Marlins, whose .288 wOBA versus righties is the second-lowest mark in the league. Mikolas is a great option in cash games where you're looking to bank some strong innings from your starter.
Jalen Beeks - P, vs DET ($5,700)
Beeks is making his major league debut on Thursday and could be an insane value at this price. Beeks tore through triple-A this season, posting a 35.4% K-rate with a 2.98 FIP. His strikeout numbers give him huge upside, and even just a decent start would result in Beeks being worth his price. However, as a pitcher making his debut in Fenway Park, there's certainly a good deal of risk in starting Beeks. Consider him a low floor, high upside play to use primarily in GPP tournament contests.
DraftKings DFS Infielders
Evan Gattis - C, at TEX ($3,900)
Gattis has been destroying the ball recently, as he's got five homers and a .947 OPS in the last 15 days. He's always hit lefties better than righties throughout his career, which gives him the advantage against Cole Hamels. Hamels has a 5.31 FIP this year, which means that he's a candidate for some major regression.
Justin Smoak - 1B, vs BAL ($4,300)
Smoak is producing well this season, with a .365 wOBA and a 16.1% walk-rate. He and the Blue Jays should tee off against David Hess, who has just a 12.6% K-rate through four starts and a 5.64 FIP. At home in an extreme hitter's park, the Jays are a lineup to stack.
Brian Dozier - 2B, vs CWS ($4,200)
Dozier has heated up after his early season struggles, posting an .850 OPS over the last month. He's in a great position batting leadoff against James Shields, who has a 4.48 ERA this year. Dozier will have plenty of plate appearances and chances to score some runs.
Mike Moustakas - 3B, at OAK ($4,100)
Moose has a strong .272/.330/.494 line this year with 12 homers. He's in a spot for both runs and RBIs as the Royals three hitter against Paul Blackburn, who is making his season debut. The A's will likely have to tap into their bullpen early on Thursday, meaning Moustakas could be facing some of the worst pitchers on their roster.
Marcus Semien - SS, vs KC ($4,300)
Semien has been cold as of late, but he's still batting second for Oakland and has a sweet matchup today. Royals starter Jason Hammel has a 5.17 ERA this year, so the A's should score lots of runs, meaning Semien will get lots of opportunities to produce.
DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Carlos Gonzalez - OF, at CIN ($4,100)
Great American Ballpark is an awesome stadium for hitters to play in, and CarGo already homered there on Tuesday. Tyler Mahle has a 1.84 HR/9, so don't be surprised if Gonzalez does it again out of the Rockies cleanup spot.
Odubel Herrera - OF, at CHC ($3,900)
Odubel should perform well batting second against Tyler Chatwood. Chatwood has an insane 20.0% walk-rate, which is higher than his 19.2% K-rate. If the Phillies score lots of runs on Chatwood, Herrera should enjoy lots of fantasy points.
