Trevor Williams Continues To Scuffle
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Trevor Williams lasted just three innings in his start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. He gave up all four of his earned runs in the third inning and was pulled for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the frame. He was spared a loss, however, as the Pittsburgh offense exploded for 11 runs. It was the fourth consecutive poor start for Williams, who now has a 4.18 ERA on the year. Paired with his ongoing struggles to strike batters out, Williams is droppable in all but deep leagues at this point. He'll face the Arizona Diamondbacks on the road in his next start.
