Preston Guilmet Called Up From Triple-A
7 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals called up relief pitcher Preston Guilmet from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday. Guilmet has been almost untouchable in Triple-A so far this season, posting a 0.93 ERA, 0.48 WHIP, and 35:5 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 29 innings. He's no longer a prospect as a 30-year-old who was drafted in 2009, but he could become a useful piece of the Cardinals bullpen. He'll start out working in middle relief.
