Mets Designate Buddy Baumann For Assignment
7 years agoIn the wake of activating third baseman Todd Frazier from the disabled list, the New York Mets have designated reliever Buddy Baumann for assignment. Baumann, in his third year in the Major Leagues, did not impress whatsoever in his short tenure in Queens. He pitched to a 9.78 ERA in three innings pitched, and in an earlier stint in San Diego this season allowed five runs while recording only one out. He hasn’t posted an ERA under 5.42 since his debut campaign in 2016. Chances are Baumann will end up as minor league bullpen depth for someone, so long as that someone isn’t your fantasy team.
