7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starter Zack Godley (5-5) was crushed by the Giants Monday, giving up seven runs on five hits and two walks over 3 1/3 innings. Godley had managed three scoreless innings before imploding in the fourth, giving up two solo home runs, followed by a bases-loaded double by Alan Hansen. Fernando Salas proceeded to allow all the inherited runner to score, pushing Godley's ERA to 5.12. His HR/9 has skyrocketed from 0.87 last season to 1.38 this season, and it is one of the biggest reasons for his struggles. Until he can keep the ball in the yard and stop walking batters (4.57 BB/9), Godley is a risky option moving forward.--Jonathan Chan - Rotoballer
