Tommy Kahnle Surprisingly Demoted To Triple-A
7 years agoAs expected, the New York Yankees activated reliever/spot starter Adam Warren on Monday after over six weeks on the disabled list with a strained back. The big question with the move was who would be removed from the roster to make room for Warren, with the candidates coming from the club’s bullpen. While A.J. Cole, Chasen Shreve and Jonathan Holder were reportedly considered the favorites, the New York club made a surprising move by demoting right-hander Tommy Kahnle to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. The 28-year-old had recently been activated off the DL himself.
