C.J. Cron Leaves Game Sunday Versus Oakland, Hopes To Return Tuesday
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron left the game Sunday after being hit in the fifth. His right forearm was swollen and sore after being hit by a pitch that forced him from the game, but X-rays were negative. He hopes to return Tuesday. Cron has 12 home runs and 32 RBI on the season put him well ahead of a pace to break his career high of 16. He is currently batting .264, which is much better than many late-round power options. Also worth noting is that he accumulated most of his 2017 stats and fantasy value in the second half of last season. He is not a shallow league standout, but he definitely has value in deeper leagues.
