Adam Warren Could Be Activated Monday
7 years agoOut since late April with a strained muscle in his back, New York Yankees pitcher Adam Warren is as close as ever to returning, with the activation off the Disabled List possibly coming Monday. The 30-year-old is already traveling with the big league team, having spent his weekend in Baltimore as the Yankees took on the Orioles. This past week he also threw three scoreless innings with Double-A Trenton, with manager Aaron Boone saying a Monday activation is very possible. Like they faced with the return of Greg Bird, the Yankees now find themselves in a conundrum regarding who to drop from the bullpen to make room for Warren. The three most probable candidates, Chasen Shreve, Jonathan Holder and A.J. Cole, are all pitching well and/or useful.
