Evgeny Kuznetsov Leaves Game 2 After High Hit
7 years agoWashington Capitals standout Evgeny Kuznetsov was forced from Game 2 after receiving a hit from Vegas’ Brayden McNabb. Kuznetsov did not return, and after the game was listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury. His absence from the lineup will surely be felt by the Caps, as he has been their leading scorer to this point in the postseason. Logging only 4:26 TOI, Kuznetsov saw his 11-game point streak snapped, a streak that began back in round two. Kuznetsov did take part in the team’s optional practice yesterday, which is surely a positive note, though he is not yet all clear. He will likely be a game-time decision Saturday.
