6 years agoBoston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee) was a late scratch from Thursday's lineup. Brock Holt will be taking over at second base while Blake Swihart will start in right field. The reason for that scratch is due to left knee soreness, although it is not deemed to be very serious. Pedroia has tallied just a single hit through his first 13 plate appearances of the season. He could become a serviceable fantasy second baseman for those managers in deeper leagues if he rediscovers his stroke at the plate, but as of right now he should be an afterthought.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
