Rhys Hoskins Out Against Dodgers
7 years agoResuming their series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers on Tuesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies will be minus their sophomore star. Outfielder Rhys Hoskins, who fouled a pitch off his face Monday night in the ninth inning, will be given the night off by manager Gabe Kapler. The 25-year-old is sporting a big cut on his lip after the incident and will not take part in the game, as Odubel Herrera, Aaron Altherr and Nick Williams fill in the outfield slots. Hoskins hit himself with two outs and two strikes in the last frame, having to exit with a towel covering his bloody lip. He should be good to go by Wednesday, though.
