CC Sabathia Can’t Keep Early Lead In Brutal Loss
7 years agoThe New York Yankees got off to a good start on Wednesday night against the Texas Rangers, seeking to win their three-game series. After a lengthy top of the first that saw the road team emerge with three runs, CC Sabathia stepped on the mound seeking to preserve the lead. While things went well through the first three innings, the veteran gave up a pair of lethal home runs in the fourth, putting his team in a one-run deficit. While his offense responded swiftly with six runs in the fifth, Sabathia once struggled in the same inning, getting pulled with one more run charged to him. The Yankees would go on to lose a heartbreaker, 12-10.
