Maikel Franco’s Double Adds To Philadelphia Lead
7 years agoWith former Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta dealing on Wednesday night, the Philadelphia Phillies simply needed to score some runs against the Atlanta Braves to ensure a series win. They did just that, scoring four runs, with one of those coming in the fifth inning. It came off the bat of third baseman Maikel Franco, who delivered a double to center, scoring Carlos Santana. The 25-year-old has recovered the past two games after going hitless in four consecutive ballgames prior to that. The Phillies once again find themselves one victory away from going 10 games over .500.
