T.J. Oshie’s First Goals Of Series Propels Caps In Win
7 years agoWashington Capitals winger T.J. Oshie found an opportune time to pot his first goals of the series on a first-period power play in Game 6 and an empty-netter in the final minute. Oshie assumed his usual power-play position in the high slot when Nicklas Backstrom fed a pass, changing the angle on Tampa Bay goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy enough for Oshie to fire the one-timer past. The 31-year-old now has seven points through six games and is riding a four-game point streak. The winger has been posting some big minutes, eclipsing 20:00 of time on ice in three games this series. This has been Oshie’s most productive series of the postseason, and he is worth a start for Game 7.
