Matt Duffy Delivers For The Rays In Game 1 Saturday Versus Baltimore
7 years agoTampa Bay Ray third baseman Matt Duffy drove in all three runs for the Rays in the first game of the Saturday doubleheader versus Baltimore. His three-run HR in the first inning staked the Rays to a 3-0 lead but Chris Archer got roughed up and the offense stalled in the 6-3 loss. He is now batting .309 with two HR and 12 RBI. He would sit for the second game of the doubleheader. In his last healthy season in 2015, he batted .295 with 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases. Duffy's floor is fairly solid as long as he stays healthy. Duffy just turned 27 years old as the 2018 season started and should be owned in deeper leagues, especially in AL-only formats.
