7 years agoBrian Harman suffered a miserable week at the Wells Fargo Championship, which he capped with a dreadful performance on Sunday. Harman entered the final round at level par but played his first seven holes in as many shots over par and eventually posted a round of 81 to finish 74th. Harman is teeing it up this week at the Players, where he finished tied for eighth back in 2015. However, that was the only occasion that Harman has cracked the top 50 at this week's course on his previous six visits.--Gianni

2 weeks agoBrian Harman has already competed in nine events on the PGA Tour. The American golfer who has won three times including The Open Championship in 2023 does not have one Top 10 finish. Now, Harman has three Top 25 results and has only missed the cut twice. However, he took a week off after The Players Championship where a second round 77 caused him to miss the weekend. Harman's swing through Hawaii started off disastrous (75-74 at the Sentry). The season has not quite gone as expected. The Valero Texas Open does not set up well for Harman with four holes 550 yards or greater. With the putter so far off (145th in strokes gained) and averaging 29.58 putts per round and 31.71 on Sundays, Harman may be one to fade from a DFS perspective this week. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

1 month agoBrian Harman has flown under the radar in his last four starts, recording finishes of T25, T17, T32, and most recently T40 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He now turns his attention to The PLAYERS Championship, an event he has competed in 12 times. He's made the cut nine times, including four top-10 finishes -- highlighted by a T2 finish in 2024. To replicate that success at TPC Sawgrass, Harman will need to be solid from tee to green, where he currently ranks 68th on tour, gaining 0.399 strokes per round. He also ranks well in other key areas this week, including 51st in driving accuracy, and 93rd in strokes gained off the tee (0.033 per round). He's also in the 95th percentile in proximity from 150-200 yards, a critical range given that 30% of all approach shots at Sawgrass last year came from this distance. At $7,600 on DraftKings, Harman is a strong sleeper pick for fantasy managers this week.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller

2 months agoBrian Harman finished tied for 17th at the Genesis Invitational two weeks ago, marking his second consecutive top-25 finish and his third in 2025. He is now focusing on preparing for this week's Cognizant Classic, which will be held at the PGA National Resort. This will be Harman's first appearance at the tournament since 2022 when it was known as the Honda Classic. Over the past 12 months, Harman ranks in the 95th percentile for proximity to the hole on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is particularly relevant because, at last year's Cognizant Classic, over 44% of approach shots came from this distance. Harman has been in excellent form this year and could be a valuable addition to DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

2 months agoBrian Harman already has competed in five events in 2025. The American golfer does have two Top 25 results but nothing inside the Top 20. Harman has been a few shots short of contending here and there. Part of that is early putting issues as he ranks 153rd in strokes gained to putting (-0.499). His putting issues have compounded in final rounds where he averages 33 putts a round. Last year that number was 27.6. A number that large is why Harman missed the cut at The American Express and cannot contend. Overall putting was inside the Top 40 in 2024 and 27th in 2023. Harman must start making putts when it counts otherwise he may not be a viable DFS or betting option.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
