Rhys Hoskins Home Run Propels Phillies
7 years agoAfter losing the series opener to the Washington Nationals, the Philadelphia Phillies prevailed Saturday afternoon at Nationals Park. The offensive hero was the club’s star sophomore, Rhys Hoskins, who delivered a two-run home run in the opening frame. While early, it proved to be the biggest hit of the game, with the Phillies winning, 3-1. It was Hoskins’ lone hit of the game from the second spot in the lineup. For the season, the 25-year-old is hitting .286 with five home runs and 22 RBI, helping the Phillies to a surprising start that has them only a game and a half out of first place in the National League East.
