Anthony Rendon Expected Back on Saturday
7 years agoIt looks like the Washington Nationals will be getting their starting third baseman back very soon. Nats' manager Dave Martinez said that Anthony Rendon (toe) will be activated off of the disabled list on Saturday as long as he has no setbacks during Friday's rehab game with Potomac. The slugger has missed the last 14 games and will be a welcomed addition back to the heart of the Nationals lineup. While it is unlikely that he touches last season's total of 100 RBI, getting back to the 20-plus home run club is not out of the question. Rendon will be a valuable third base option for fantasy owners for the rest of the season, especially if he takes back his place in the cleanup spot.
