Ondrej Palat Finds his Groove Against Bruins
7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Ondrej Palat scored two goals in the Game 3 victory over Boston, netting his second straight game-winning goal in this series. The pair of goals gives him four points in three games against the Bruins, which doubles his total for this postseason. Palat has scored on 27 percent of his shots and already has more shots this series (11) than he did in the first round (seven). With Tampa Bay’s top line being held in check, Palat and the second line are being leaned on to produce. This trend is likely to continue, as Palat has seen his ice time increase in every game of the series, finishing Game 3 with 20:28 of time on ice. It is worth noting that he had a similar two-game streak in the first round before being held scoreless for the remainder of the series, but Palat is averaging more time on ice and shots on goal per game in the second round, which points to more sustainable success. Palat is a preferred DFS option heading into Game 4 on Friday night.
